Meish Wins Again!

My brilliant friend Meish Goldish won yet another Children's Choices Selection Award. This one is for Heart-Stopping Roller Coasters and as with his other wins, is richly deserved. He's a wonderful writer and this is another "must have" book. Here's a review from another delighted reader: "This brief (24 pages) but informative book is filled with fascinating facts about the biggest roller coasters around the world, including their history. Did you know, for example, that the idea for roller coasters came from ice slides that were popular in Russia in the 1400s? Or that the first roller coaster in America had only one car that moved only 6 miles an hour--slower than many adults can run? The book's photos are large, colorful, and dramatic. This book is perfect for young readers up to age 10 or 11, I'd say."

Here's the book description: "Hold on tight! Kids are about to discover the biggest, fastest, and scariest roller coasters in the world. From the "Kingda Ka" in New Jersey that's as tall as a 45-story building to the "Steel Dragon 2000" in Japan that covers the length of 27 football fields, these gigantic structures will capture the imagination and delight of every young reader."

And I add--you'll love Meish's writing!
